Domain addition/change
  • Note: You must have a Bur.st account to use this form. Do not use this form until you have a Bur.st account and have logged in to complete its setup. Sending this form with a username that doesn't exist yet will result in it silently being deleted.
  • Bur.st username: The username of the account this product should be associated with.
  • Real name: Your full real name.
  • Reply-to email address: The email address you want support to send a reply to. Ensure this email address actually works - we won't chase you up if it doesn't.
  • Domain name: What is the domain-name, without the "www" in front, you want hosted/changed
  • Subdomain: You only need to enter this if you are chosing the "Sub-domain" option for DNS Hosting
  • New domain or making changes: Choose change if the domain is already hosted at Bur.st and you want to make a change to it, eg - move from normal to PHP web-serving, add mySQL etc.
  • DNS Hosting: Full hosting is where Bur.st both primaries and seconds DNS for the domain. You have access to your zone file. Sub-domain of existing domain is only for adding a sub-domain of a domain you already have fully hosted on Bur.st. Seconding is where you will be the primary name-server and use Bur.st's secondary name-servers. If choosing this option, make sure you provide the master name-server's IP address.
  • Master IP (if DNS seconding): The IP address of your master name-server if you're geting Bur.st to second DNS. This must be a static IP that is unlikely to change for at least a year.
  • Mail Hosting: Full if you want Bur.st to handle all your email and provide backup mail-servers. Seconding if you want to host the email on your own server and use Bur.st's secondary mail servers.
  • Web Hosting: Normal if you want standard web-hosting (with CGI/Perl, SSI, .htpasswd). PHP if you want to use PHP scripts (donating users only). None if you're hosting it on your own web-servers.
  • MySQL: Yes if you want a MySQL database and username for this domain to use with either your normal or PHP web-hosting (donating users only)
